Phlebotomy Certification

Phlebotomists draw blood and other specimens from patients in medical settings, including hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices and labs. Courses in phlebotomy are generally taken as a certificate program. This course combines theory with lab experience. This course assists the nurse to learn transfusion products and associated nursing responsibilities. As a phlebotomist also you must be attentive to laboratory safety and the strict policies and precautions to help ensure their safety and that of their patients because phlebotomists collect blood and are at risk for exposure to a variety of diseases.
